Marion J. St. Denis, born in East York, Ontario in 1946, was meant to be an artist. She began her love for arts at the age of 12 and completed her first painting by mixing house paint, shoe polish and nail polish with oil paints. As a child, she was known for drawing on every spare piece of paper she could find and filled the house with her work. Her mother fondly remembered when she looked for Marion, she need only follow the paper trail! Determined to continue this passion, Marion taught herself many techniques and took lessons at a later age. She was an active member of the Ajax Creative Arts in Pickering and is now a member of the Tuesday Morning Painters and Vaga. She has participated in various amateur art exhibitions.

Marion's early work was of horses and following her love of the outdoors, she began a talent for landscapes and urban areas. Capturing much of her subjects through photography and an imaginative mind, Marion creates her work using oils, water colours and acrylics. Her work is admired across Europe and Canada.

Today, Marion lives outside of Kingston on a hobby farm in Yarker with her husband and continues to capture the beauty of life on canvas.
