Mary Lynn Baker is an artist and craftsperson who lives near Brockville Ontario. She originally trained as a draftswomen in the federal government, before studying fine art at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto, and from the beginning has been fascinated by the human condition, particularly as it relates to women.
She has exhibited and sold her work in Toronto, Ottawa, Cornwall. Brockville and Gananoque, and has been featured on TVO's "Hands Over Time" and CTV's "Regional Contact". Her award-winning papier mache sculptures have appeared in magazines and on television, and her work is in public and private collections all over the world.

In this unique series of paintings and papier mache sculptures, Mary Lynn Baker explores that moment when ordinary people are so entranced by music, they just have to get up and dance, leaving their everyday personas back on their chairs.
